Welp, that sucked. After many years, my Palm Pilot Tungsten T5 will no longer charge. Either the charger is dead, or the palm itself is at fault. At any rate, it drives the question of how much money I really want to throw at it. It had Bluetooth only built in, and I've been holding off on getting a true wifi card because they were $50 bucks, and I was waiting for them to drop in price. They never have. The processor is a little old on it now, it could never really do web browsing very well, etc etc. Both megan and
io_spellweaver now have Ipod Touches (think Iphone without the Phone bit), that are all snazzy, neat, can do good web browsing, even youtube, and have 802.11 built in, plus they have a ton of room for music. I'm limited to 2gb SDcards on my T5.
The only thing is, I can't stand how small the screen is on the iTouch's. The Tungsten had a nice, big sexy screen that was awesome for bookreading or movies (although I rarely used that feature), but I just can't give it up. :/
So now the question is, do I blow another 20 bucks on a new charger and hope that's the issue, and then another $50 on a wireless card so I too can browse stuff while waiting at offices, restaraunts, etc, (but not very well), or do I just pick up something new?
At any rate I need to do something, because I love having it as an MP3 player and bookreader. Particularly since it has a speaker and I don't need to use headphones all the damn time like the ipod requires.
